Cumberland Salem Conservation District

The Cumberland Salem Conservation District is a special purpose subdivision of the State serving Cumberland and Salem Counties.

NJ Conservation Partnership Mission Statement:

The mission of the New Jersey conservation partnership is to provide leadership in the planning and implementation of natural resource management programs for the agricultural and development communities and the general public through a locally based delivery system in coordination with local, state and federal partners.

The Cumberland Salem Conservation District is one of 14 soil conservation districts in New Jersey empowered to conserve and manage soil and water resources in cooperation with the State Soil Conservation Committee. We address soil erosion and sedimentation problems that result from land disturbance activities.

District meetings are conducted at the District Office located at 1516 Route 77, Bridgeton, NJ 08302. Meetings are generally scheduled for the fourth Tuesday of the month at 6 p.m. Please contact the District office at (856) 451-2422 prior to attendance to verify the public meeting remains on schedule.

Cumberland Salem Conservation District is supported by the collection of plan review and project inspection fees paid by developers for construction projects.
